Biodiversity and Environment
Biodiversity – the rich variety of life on Earth – is essential to the health of our planet and the wellbeing of future generations. From pollinators that support our food supply, to green spaces that improve air quality and mental health, a thriving natural environment underpins many aspects of daily life.
At Mold Town Council, we recognise the urgent need to protect and enhance our local environment. As the challenges of climate change, habitat loss, and pollution grow, so does our responsibility to act. That’s why we are committed to promoting biodiversity, supporting sustainable practices, and protecting green spaces in and around Mold.
We work in partnership with local organisations, schools, volunteers, and environmental groups to champion projects that make a real difference – from planting pollinator-friendly flowers and maintaining community woodlands, to supporting nature-based education and exploring more sustainable ways of working.
Our goal is to create a greener, healthier Mold for everyone – where nature can thrive and residents can enjoy the benefits of a clean and biodiverse environment.
Together, we can help shape a more sustainable future.
