Notice of Casual Vacancy – Broncoed Ward

Mold Town Council gives formal notice of a casual vacancy for a Town Councillor representing the Broncoed Ward, following the sad passing of Councillor Teresa Carberry on 23 September 2026.

In accordance with the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006, ten registered electors from the Broncoed Ward may request that an election be held to fill the vacancy.

The deadline for requesting an election is Tuesday 3 November 2026.

Requests must be submitted to the Returning Officer at Flintshire County Council.

If no request for an election is received within the statutory period, Mold Town Council will proceed to fill the vacancy through the co-option process.
